What is RAMIE fabric?
Ramie is the world's strongest and most expensive breathable fabric, made from a plant -like cotton and linen. Ramie, also "China grass," is an ancient fiber cultivated in Asia since prehistoric times. It was used to make shrouds for it's breathability to wrap mummies to protect, preserve and prevent them from molding in ancient Egypt and became known in Europe during the Middle Ages.

The closest comparison to ramie is silk but a little denser and not as satiny as most silk fabrics.
The benefits of blending natural fabrics
Natural fabrics [cotton+linen, cotton+ramie] are often blended to balance each other's weaknesses-density and wrinkling. Unlike polyester, natural fabrics wrinkle easily- so other natural fabrics are blended for combined advantages and benefits to create a more practical and functional fabric.
The foremost weaknesses of natural fabrics are wrinkling and density. Unlike polyester that doesn't wrinkle, other natural fabrics are used to add to the density of silk or ramie -which are soft, silken and thin in texture, but transparent, so they're blended with cotton or linen, which is the thickest of all.
When blended with linen for example, ramie's smoothness would balance linen’s roughness. A small blend of linen adds density to the ramie and reduces it's transparency and linen’s tendency to wrinkle.
